Anyone upgrade to version 6 yet? Are there any new features that make it worth the $100?
I'm getting irritated at some of the quirks the older version has on the Mac virtually no control over fonts (and defaulting to a lousy version of courier), goofy formatting problems on the title page publisher, some minor weirdnesses with the way it auto-completes slug lines...

I'm hoping the new version addresses these. Really, it was a better product on the PC and what I'm hoping is that the Mac version has finally caught up...

I have MM 2K, and it's easy. Everytime I upgraded it was a migraine - I'd stick with watcha know. I went back to MM 2k after repeated attempts to "upgrade". Is it worth the learning curve? I'm not sure ink-stained wretches need to blast into the void.
MM2k is good.

Alan, Write Brothers have changed their demo policy and it is now a *fully functional* version, but it's only good for so many days or so many hours, whichever comes first. Download it and give it a shot! '-)

Sure, it's good; that's what I'm currently using. But it also has problems, especially on the Mac. Also, I like new features. I like fiddling. They claim to have addressed some font issues, so I'm just going to go for it.

I think it caught up. I like it very much. Couldn't give you a blow by blow on the bells and whistles yet (writing books now) but I like it quite a bit.

Maybe it's your computer. Have you made sure the wind-up key is completely cranked? Did you disable the child-proof lock (or ask the help of an adult in doing so)? Did you remember to upgrade from the standard Sesame Street keyboard layout to the Sponge Bob layout? Have you checked the batteries (2 X AAA)? Did you clean out the lint trap?

Failing all that, have you considered fixing the problem by selling your Mac and, with the proceeds, buying two PCs, paying for a new roof, a new transmission for the car, two new roosters, five goats and a couple of wives from Russia?

Russia is where all the PC viruses come from.

Blame it on Putin.

Post your thoughts once you've done it.
I'm using MM4.8(!) and am wondering if upgrading makes sense.
