In most cases, I'd say many chances.

I had my chances.
I had a chance of lifetime to make millions, but I blew it.
Given a fair chance, I believe your daughter will excel in school.

The phrase 'much of a chance' is used as follows:
I wouldn't bother practicing so hard to improve your game - you don't have much of a chance to become a professional basketball player at only 170cm tall.

To err is human, to forgive divine. 잘못을 저지르는 것은 인간이지만 용서할수있는 것은 하늘과 같은것.

To supplement Danyoo's answers:

In British English, you would say "I had the chance of a lifetime..."

You could also say "You don't have much chance of becoming prime minister"; "I haven't had a chance to look at your homework".

Another idiom: "there's not much chance of that happening!"
