I'm really addicted to english song, especially old folk songs. And i try to catch the word while listening. But some of them i do not understand, so, could you please help me to know those meaning ? Thank you very much.

"Time can bring you down
Time can bend your knee
Time can break your heart
Have you begging please
Begging please" ---
Tears in Heaven, Eric Clapton

"But how I miss the girl
And I'd go a million times around the world just to say
She had been mine for a day." ---
Aubrey, Bread
>> Is it mean, there are only one day that she is mine or "A day" is mean forever ?

"And so it is
Just like you said it should be
We'll both forget the breeze
Most of the time
And so it is
The colder water
The blower's daughter
The pupil in denial " ---
Blower's Daughter, Damien Rice
>> Is it "So it is" like "So so" ?

"Was I out of my head? Was I out of my mind?
How could I have ever been so blind?
I was waiting for an INDICATION
it was hard to find" ---
Out of my head, Fastball

Thank you very much

>Time can bend your knee
time is making your old, and less strong

>And so it is
And things are
the way you said they would be

>She had been mine for a day
she belonged to me (very probably, sexually) for a day

>The blower's daughter
have no idea (perhaps the wind's daughter???)

>Was I out of my head
Was I crazy?

I'd suggest to post these in the Poetry forum here at this site. This is Grammar.
