Anonymous,

1. The USA is not a democracy.  It is a constitutional republic.  Sadly, I think less than 20% of Americans know the difference between the two forms of government.  The founding fathers of our country hated democracy and I agree with them.  You will probably (and wrongly) assume that I like fascism because of the previous sentence.

2. Capitalism is awesome.  It is the essense of the American dream: you can become wealthy and fulfill your desires if you work hard and make choices, no matter who you are, no matter where you were born, no matter what family you came from.  I understand that this idea is very repugnant to many Europeans who have social castes and no social mobility, and where the accent you speak with determines your station in life.

3. Your criticisms of the police are actually criticisms of what you've seen in the media.  The police here do not walk around zapping helpless and unarmed people for fun.  Most frequenly police will tackle a bad guy they're trying to catch.  If the bad guy has a gun, then they'll shoot him.  There are even more nasty things some bad cops have done, such as the rape of Abner Louima.  Perhaps I shouldn't tell you that, becasue now you'll assume that all police officers in the USA are rapists.

4. We are not blind to your criticisms of the USA.  We ignore you because your anti-Americanism is bigoted and stupid.  I think you hate the USA becasue of what your media tells you and because of what your friends say, not because you have been here or have talked to many Americans.

then i ask me why bush always talks about spreading democracy if they dont have one...maybe the answer could be too that he is too uneducated to know the diffrence
typicall american thinking it seems to be...if you are not for it you are against it...
i read too that bush said if US americans are against him/the government they are traitors maybe u know more about it
for at least us germans this thought is very dangerous and scary since we are based on individuality..not as your country where escpecially is being forced to admire the USA( everywhere flags, national hymne everyday but i dont think all classes do it)
i may just dont know everything of the reality in the USA..thats why i want to ask you how patriotics are seen who disagree with bush and war and other things, i heard they are seen as traitors.. is it really that way?

capitalism and everyone has the chance to be wealthy if he works hard ( depends how u define hard...hard is for me under 10 hours of work a day, hard work)
that doesnt really fit together

why should this dream be repugnant for us? what do u think about us?
social castes are only so extrem in india and other countries but there are no real castes in europe
social mobility? i dont understand this expression at all that has language reasons
if u mean we are social immobile( in one position ) its just not true
i can again only talk about germany...many of us dont like being seen as europeans... see me as german
almost your whole society seems to drill themselves to patriotism....again if you are not for it you are against it thought(which is great social mobility...black and white)
everywhere flags.. i dont know if its reality but national hymn everyday in school i feel like in the good old days of the nazi terror( not only that you have a ´´special patriotism´´ but of course human rights arent very populated( abugreib or hows it called, guantanamo bay where no rights are garantied)
a german born in kuwait, youth in lebanon who came here in the here 1985 after the civil war
he founded a family
in the year 2003 he traveled to macedonia
macedonien agents threw him 23 days into prison
he had to make a video where he was forced to admit he was being treated well
he was tortured by masked men then thrown into a plane(later he was told he was sent to afghanistan)
when they landed he got told that they are in a land without rights and asked if he knew what this means he was questioned, tortured about suspecious relationship to terror organisations
they denied fresh water only very old
the people who did the crime had sunglasses and masks all time
they took blood and urine then threw him more than 4 months into an isolated room( u cant call it room.. i just cant look all the time in the dictionary..)
then he got again questioned about certain persons in terroristic groups
pleases about a german diploma, a lawyer or a process were ignored
then went into hunger strike
after 27 of hunger strike he was allowed to see 2 americans, the director of the ´´prison´´ and someone who was called Boss
the director said without permission out of washington he wasnt allowed to let him go...the director said that he didnt belong into this prison
after 37 of hunger strike they feeded him under force through the stomache
3 months later someone out of washington came and told him he will be free
another german speaking person told him he can go home but warned him not to tell this anyone cause the americans wanted to keep it secret
he came again into a plane but was brought into some mountains not directly to germany cause they didnt want to have any tracks about this case
after they landed he was brought by char into the mountains of albania..he was told to go away and not look back( he feared he would be shot down in the back)
the government necer sent him any message
only miss Rice talked about it
he only got free because the german government got the knowledge of it and took further steps
on a meeting with Rice with our chancellor she admitted it was a mistake which later US officials denied that she said this

his kidnappers didnt want to bring him to justice, tortured him over 5 months without any proof
even that he was warned not to tell anyone what happened he sued the US american government..end not seen
this happened around 3 times or so in germany..which went into public..this is only the peak..the most probably didnt tell this anyone..this was only about cases i know in germany..this happened 100% in other countries too
i dont want to think about people being kidnapped in afghanistan who come under suspection ...they will be probabaly just shot without any proofs or being held somewhere
imagin you was this german kidnapped man...you will probably think diffrent..

another interesting fact:
a bit more complex story was before but this cant be an endless post
pakistan denied the USA any military actions in their country
in a house in a small village in pakistan exploded an american rocket and killed a whole family..the suspected leader of a terror group wasnt under the killed after this pakistan announced that they will see any more military action as an attack from the USA and they will defend against this

the much much much higher number of these cases will never come into public or no proofs avaible

if u read till the end i respect you for the hard work of reading through my bad english...its equal to me reading bad german..it hurts the eyes and brain..

what do u say about this

the US government dont follow their own rights and laws in their actions... this is a fact no opinion or so

As for me I like America and Americans-they are positive, confident,single-minded and perfectly know what they want.

Look at  the list of celebrities and  other wealthy people and you will find that an overwhelming majority of them are Americans.

Not to mention the US being a major economical power in the world...

Big Smile [:D]

I'd agree that goverment as well as army  and secret services are often acting inappropriate, but let's not forget who screwed  the whole thing up on 9/11 in the first place.

Also I'd expect America and other countries where terrorist attacks has happend to reduce (if not ban at all) migration from non-Western countries, simply in attempt to protect themselves.

But there's one thing that doesn't seem right to me-every time American goverment comes up with a new' military operation' or 'campaign' theres simply noone to even try to stop them.
