Philip
Once I finally got to Uludağ, at the right time with all the people, we had a wonderful weekend.  As I remember it, we were the only people there (about 50), as ski season was not yet open.

Aha, alone with the bears in the mountain! Did you ski Philip?

 Hi Doll

Thank you for the pictures! I wish more people would post photos here. If they did, it wouldn't be necessary for us to travel to far corners of the world to see what life is like there...Smile

I saw you a bit lazy CB. Stick out tongue (Direct translation from Turkish) No matter how many films you watch, no matter how many photos you see, nothing can replace the taste and experience seeing a city with your own eyes.

I use Google Earth to see the world but it is just something like smelling the food and trying to persuade yourself that you are now full.

What strikes me is the great variety of landscapes (both rural and urban) you can enjoy in your city. You're really lucky, Doll!

Thanks for your comment Tanit. Actually, I don't know my city very well. Espeacially urban areas. I want to go and see everywhere.

Here in Vienna, Austria, we also have a çeşme. It is situated in a park and is called (literally translated): "Turkish Well".

Wow, I couldn't believe you lived in a place like that. I couldn't believe all that stuff was in a single place. I couldn't believe it was actually so beautiful. I had to go to Wikipedia, LOL! And it's true, LOL! You are lucky... that place must rule! Stick out tongue

If you don't have a sense of humor already, it's about time you buy one.

Turkey only has one capital city: Ankara. Bursa was the first capital city of Ottoman Empire.
