.. At least, what am hoping will happen, anyway..

I saw many people post their thoughts, and I thought to myself.. I have it in my power to bother the world, and I'm perfectly willing to abuse this power..

So, here it is:
                    p  w d   l   f   a  po
1. Germany   3   2   1   0   7   3
  7
2. Costa Rica
  3   1   1   1   3   4
  4
3. Poland   3   1   0   2   1   3   3
4. Ecuador   3
  0   2   1   3   4   2

I don't see Germany losing, although I put them to draw against Ecuador. The rest of the teams have equal chances of going through.

1. England   3   3   0   0   8   2   9
2. Sweden   3   1   1   1   4   4   4
3. Paraguay   3   1   1   1   3   4   4
4. Trin Tob   3   0   0   3   1   6   0

As with group 1, nobody in the group has a chance to beat England, and I believe they will qualify first.

1. Argentina   3   3   0   0   5   2   9
2. Holland   3   1   1   1   3   3   4
3. Serb Mont   3   0   2   1   1   2   2
4. Ivory Coast   3   0   1   2   1   3   1

If Argentina are in top form and they fix up their defence, and if Riquelme is playing at his best, we will see them go far. Although there are too many variables to go by, I'm hoping we won't see an upset as we did in 2002.

1. Mexico   3   2   1   0   4   2   7
2. Portugal   3   2   0   1   4   2   6
3. Angola   3   0   2   1   1   3   2
4. Iran   3   0   1   2   0   2   1

I don't believe Portugal are playing well enough to qualify first. Neither are Mexico, with a draw against Jamaica, but am willing to believe in the heart they'll put into the games.

1. Czech Rep   3   3   0   0   6   1   9
2. Italy   3   2   0   1   5   3   6
3. United States   3   1   0   2   2   5   3
4. Ghana   3   0   0   3   0   4   0

Whilst I was hoping for the US to qualify, they're just lack that extra experience to beat Italy and the likes of the Czechs.

1. Brazil   3   2   1   0   6   3   7
2. Croatia   3   1   1   1   3   3   4
3. Australia   3   1   0   2   2   4   3
4. Japan   3   0   2   1   2   3   2

Brazil will qualify, as they are favorites, and I wish Australia would also.. But I don't see it happening.

1. France   3   2   1   0   4   1   7
2. Switzerland   3   1   2   0   3   2   5
3. South Korea   3   1   1   1   2   3   4
4. Togo   3   0   0   3   0   3   0

France will have an easy job making it through, and I like the way Switzerland is playing. Far above Sth Kore and Togo.

1. Spain   3   3   0   0   5   1   9
2. Tunisia   3   1   1   1   3   2   4
3. Ukraine   3   0   2   1   1   3   2
4. Saudi Arabia   3   0   1   2   1   4   1

Most boring of the groups. Tunisia, Ukraine and Saudi Arabia have an equal chance of qualifying, and Spain will have an easy time qualifying.

Overall, I don't see any upsets in the groups..

Match 1:
Germany vs. Sweden
Germany

Match2:
Argentina vs. Portugal
Argentina

Match3:
England vs. Costa Rica
England

Match4
Mexico vs. Netherlands
Netherlands

Match5
Czech vs. Croatia
Czech Republic

Match6
France vs. Tunisia
France

Match7
Brazil vs. Italy
Brazil

Match8
Spain vs. Switzerland
Switzerland

QF1
Germany vs. Argentina
Argentina

QF2
Czech vs. France
France

QF3
England vs. Netherlands
Tough to pick, but I'll say England

QF4
Brazil vs. Switzerland
Brazil

SF1
Argentina vs. France
Argentina

SF2
Brazil vs. England
England

Final
Argentina vs. England
Argentina

I honestly believe that if Argentina play their cards right, there'll be no stopping them. They've a great team with amazing young talents. The key for them will be to finish their groups first.. Which will be a hard task to do indeed.

3rd place
Brazil vs. France
Brazil

Huh...England in the final.....that will never happen in my opinion, although, they have good players. On the other hand, football is an event that has no boundaries, meaning that anything can happen. Secondly,  you need to bear in mind that France didnt have a tough group in the world cup. But what happened? Their game depends too much on the effort that Zidane and Henry can display. Brazil has the best individuals, hence if they play as a team, no country can beat them.

wow, it's a very  detailed chart. I don't know how you can figure it out.
Anyway, I agree with Zerox. Brazil will win the cup and maybe Germany will come in second.
