Success - it is not the position where you are standing, but which direction you are going.

Grammatically, only you can find someone more qualified than yourself. Only I can find someone more qualified than myself.

Use either "than me" or "than I am." Purists may tell you that the latter is the correct choice, but you'll certainly hear the former.

Barbara, who answers in American English. My housekeeping skills attest to the truth of the second law of thermodynamics: Left to themselves, things get more and more random!

GG is right. Myself/yourself/etc are reflexive pronouns and should [in theory] only be used when the subject and object of the verb are one and the same.

Thank you Grammer Geek and Bokeh. Smile [:)]

Actually this is the context.

John told Kiff that he might be able to find someone who knows more that himself on evolution in another forum.
John wrote : " You might be able to find someone more qualified than myself ."
So the 'myself' was referring to John while the 'you' was to Kiff.

So in this case , is it correct to say "You might be able to find someone more qualified than me" ? Should I use 'me' or 'myself' in this case?

Thank you very much again.

Do not use "you" with "myself."

John should have written "You might be able to find someone more qualified than me." or "You might be able to find someone more qualified than I am."
