My real name is Woodward, Rob Woodward.
(Doesn't quite have the same effect as 'Bond' does it)
I use it in the forum so that my students recognise me.
I could easily think of other, more original names, but unfortunately I have to be practical here.

Oh, I see. That's a cool name, actually. Rob Woodward. Like you're heading in the direction of wood.
The name "Rob" was part of a great lame pun I heard in a play once. It went something like this (but not exactly like this, since I don't usually remember things verbatim):
(Back story: wife is accusing husband of cheating on her based on evidence from her private detective.)
Husband: You hired a private detective to spy on me? I don't believe it!
Wife: I certainly did!
Husband: Who?
Wife: Dick McIver. [N.B: I made that up; all I remember of his last name was that it started with Mc. But close enough]
Husband: Dick? A private dick named Dick? That's ridiculous! It's like a thief named Rob!
(Wife hands him the detective's business card.)
Husband (reading off the card): "Dick McIver, private investigator. If you think the job can't be done, you don't know Dick."
HAHAHAHA! So bad but so good!

You're right, it was a bad joke...(he still chuckles to himself though)
You were thinking of 'towards the wood'. Well, it's origin is almost that. It's from about 800 years ago when some poor guys had to take care of the deer and woods (forests) of the king/lord at that time. That's where we get warden or protector. So, in theory, I am the Guardian of the Forests. A name and concept I quite like. I love forests and nature.

Forests and nature are great things... in moderation. I like the calm and quiet, but I'm still a city girl at heart.

I like the quite and calm, but now and then I also like a short escape to a city for a few days to absorb the vital energy that flows in them. I lived in a big city for over ten years and I really liked it at that time. Lots of fun.
