Do you live near/nearby?
We went to a near/nearby restaurant that serves excellent pasta.

Hi,
Do both near and nearby fit in the above and mean about the same to you? Thanks.

Use  "nearby", not "near".

“Use  "nearby", not "near".

Thanks, Feebs.

But I'm still confused. The first example is an online dictionary. Doesn't it really sound right to you? Thanks.
