Hi,
Is this sentence grammatically correct?
I also agree to hold ACECU harmless if the funds are not received and credited or are credited incorrectly due to information I have given ACECU.
I am considering taking out the "are".
You should consult a lawyer if this is very important.
As a non-lawyer, here are my comments.
1. It seems to me there is a case not covered by your sentence. What if the funds are credited incorrectly but this is not due to information you have given ACECU? Do you need to mention this?
2. I see the use of ..and. . and . .. or. . . as potentially confusing.
For clarity, I'd split it into two sentences.
eg
I also agree to hold ACECU harmless if the funds are not received and credited.
I further agree to hold ACECU harmless if the funds are received and credited incorrectly due to information I have given ACECU.
Best wishes, Clive
