Once again I need your help. Could you please check up my translation? i'm not good at English grammar and at sport, that is why I'm asking you for a help.


Once again our team was compelled to find other opponents for one of their practice matches in Cyprus. Due to injuries in Sunday's match against FC ..., the English side had to refuse to take part in a friendly. Fortunately, it didn't take long to find new opponents. Thanks a lot. But I have some questions: as I know, British people use plural form when they talk about football teams. For example: The tea will play THEIR friendly match on Monday. OR: FC Arsenal will be our next opponents. So, maybe I should right "to find other opponents"?

and I also have some doubts about the verb "compel"...

No, because it is ambiguous and because it is inconsistent: you began your passage with 'Once again our team was compelled...'.
