Hello,
How can I understand this phrase ".... it should occur nine to eleven days prior to the start of the semester." Does it mean that it may occur during up to eleven days before the start of the semester or only during 2 days (from day 9 to 11) and not immediately before the start of the semester?

Thank you

only during 2 or 3 days (9 and 10, or 10 and 11 or 9 and 10 and 11) before the start of the semester

also

it should occur
isn't the same as
it may occur (which you're using)

Should here shows, IMO, obligation.

I'm confused by the above sentence. What does it mean?

Yes, if the semester starts on August 29, this thing should happen somewhere between August 18 and August 20, inclusively (I assume). I'm not sure it's obligation - it doesn't say "it must occur." It could also mean "you should expect it during that time - but it's possible it will be a little sooner or a little later."

Could it mean that it should occur 9 -11 days before the semester begins?

Modifications.

But what did you modify? I can't see any modifications. 'See mods.' What should I do to see mods?
