Topic: Many older people say that young ppl have never had it so good, while young people argue that it is harder than ever for them to survive in the modern world. Perhaps there is a grain of truth in both viewpoints. Discuss both opinions and decide who, if anyone is right
The old and the young are always of the opposite opinion to one another on the viewpoint on life of each generation. In this essay, I will discuss both opinions and decide who is right.
The old start the debate with "Young people have got all the modern contraptions which we did not have in our days. But it has been made clear that we are way better than them". As a young person, I think this statement is just partly true. Yes, we have all the contemporary technology but the old have their own time's contraptions, too. Development is a certain factor of a moving society, so we cannot compare two different things at two different time altogether or else it would be awkward.
And it's time for young people to raise their idea" Do you have to do so many school work or under so much pressure when you were at work as we are having now?" It is certain that old poeple did not accomplish many achievements at school but that was what they craved for. In the past, if you want to go to school, you have to be rich. The consequences is that many of the poor were unlettered and alll they want for the children to have is a thorough education. So, they are nothing wrong in this. One more thing, in their time, with the low development of tool, what they got usually just savage ones, they received the same or, if any, much more pressure than young people does nowadays.
In a nutshell, albeit there has always been a gap between two generations, I hope this essay has made clear to you that everyone is neither right nore wrong. Since we cannot live at two times simultaneously, we don't know very clearly about our forebear or offsprings. It is better for the young to work hard in order to show the old their real quality.
