Hi there, I'm just looking for some materials for teaching about Beijing Olympics, I've got a class plan to make but not sure what kind of materials I should use. I did a google search and found a few little things, mostly just the olympic website itself. But I found some translated stuff about beijing olympics here which is cool cause its got chinese characters in it too, its called  www.lazyteach.com

does anyone know of some places to find some info about specific athletes?

Welcome, Tommy!

I use texts from previous olympics, about special events or competitors, so that I can edit them for my classroom.  We talk about more general ideas, like favorite events, torch lighting, the parade of nations, and other things which happen every four years.  Watching the results can be fun and interesting, but reading the current sports pages is usually confusing for non-native speakers.
