Hi Vincent,
Can I say,

John invited his friends to his house to celebrate Christmas.

John invited his friends on / during / at / in Christmas.

None of the above sound idiomatic. We don't usually say 'celebrate Christmas'.
Here are some things we typically say.

John invited his friends (to his house) for a Christmas party.

John invited his friends to Christmas dinner.

Best wishes, Clive
