hi,

In " I respect people who can think on their feet", the "on their feet", does it mean " be able to handle things wisely"?

Thanks in advance.

Wisely, one would hope!  Quickly, at least.

on their feet = without preparation = without the need to study the subject for a long time

It has more to do with handling things flexibly and quickly rather than wisely.
