From where the name "palestine" anyway?

Anonymous  #303041  Tue, 12 Dec 06 10:17 AM

The last indipendent country in "palestine" or "eretz yisrael" was the state of Judeah which was destroyed by the Romans.

*"Israel" became to a country in the year of 1312B.C.E,2000 years before the Islam

*The Jewish poeple had consecutive presence for 3300 years in "palestine" or "eretz yisrael" call it as you want

*the arabs ruled only for 22 years

*Jerusalem mentioned 770 times in the jewish bible, how many times in the kuran?

*Arab leaders encouraged  the arabs refugees go out from "palestine" as a promise to make palestine "clean of jews",68% precent of them didn't see a one Israeli soldier.

*jewish refugees forced to escaped from Arab countries because of violence and  chasing by the Arab population

*Arabs countries has interest not to help the palestinian refugees

*If the Arabs would accept that programm of 1948,the land would be divded between Jordan,Syria,Egypt and Lebanon.

You can't use these historical arguments. 3000 years ago there were no Anglo-Saxons in Britain. Do we all have to go back to Germany?
If we believe what we read in the Old Testament, it seems that the Jewish people established their state by slaughtering the local population. If you accept this justification it means that anyone has a right to what they can get by force. The other arguments don't count.
It's true that the surrounding Arab states are not friends of the Palestinian people, but that does not justify Israel's behaviour. If you think it was wrong for the Palestinians to leave Israel, why don't you invite them back in, giving them full citizenship?

Anonymous, the word "Palestine" came from the word "Philistia". These are tribes came from Sothern Greece hundreds od years before the birth of the Crist.

My grandfather was kicked out from his home when he was 17. Do you know why he left his home? Israeli soldiers raped many females in a nearby village, killed hundreds before the eyes of their relatives, and destroyed most of the houses. My grandmother's father was shot before her eyes and the soldiers forced her to see. It is true that some left their lands before seeing "one soldier", but they did so to rescue their honor and their life. Did you know about Deer Yassen massacre? I'm not sure.

Forgive me to tell you that this isn't true. Jewish were subjects to violence in your countries, in Europe. Where were the Jewish burnt? Where did the Holocaust happen? It's not arabs who tortured the Jewish, but you.

However, we, the Palestinians, fight the Israelis, not the Jewish. We have nothing against the Jewish as a Jewish, we are against those who stole our land. We respect all religions, and what proves that is that the Christians live with the Muslims in Palestine in peace. They have their churches and we have our mosques. We study in the same universities and schools. By the way, these days the Christian Youth in my university has an exhibition under the name "The Christian Book". There are many Christian trees in the university, and we say nothing about that. On the contrary, we visit their exhibition and enjoy looking to the beautiful trees.

That's because the governments' interests is with Israel and the Us, but that's not from love. Another thing, you must distinguish between the governments and the nation.

What do you mean by that?
