Hi !!! could somebody please help me out with the above dilema of mine... I can't seem to find one word for an "unquenchable thirst for knowledge"... the nearest I got to was philosophy ( philos=love + sophy=know)... but that is not what I am looking for... the word need not necessarily be in english...
Thanks in advance!!!

It seems to me, I don't know why, that the Germans ought to have a word for this, like "Wissenlust", perhaps. (Caution: that was a made-up word!)

wissensdurst, wissbegierde - I think it means "inquisitiveness"

Wissensdurst means thurst for knowledge

Thank you Pieanne. Multi-lingual! It was "wissbegierde" that i found tranlasted as Inquisitive.

I must remember Wissensdurst - great word! Smile [:)]
