A one world government would not be possible. With obvious differences throughout the world, not everyone could live under the same government. Maybe the same type of government, but not the exact same one. One world government would undoubtedly turn corrupted.

The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and the lightning bug.

If the world ever went to a one world government it would just be one step closer to Jesus coming back.

Please clarify your comments, guest. Sometimes we have thoughts that we find difficult to articulate, and when we express them, they are often misunderstood or misinterpreted.
Do you mean that the leader of a one-world government will be a contemporary Jesus-figure?

I think I understand what you wanted to say, Guest. Let me know if I got it right (of course we're getting into religious territory here): that only in Jesus mankind could find a true leader which would unite all the persons in the world?

If you're interested in one-world government, you should think about reading Kant's 'Idea for a Universal History with a Cosmopolitan Purpose.' Don't let the bombastic title put you off: this text was written in 1784, but the ideas put forward in it are very avant garde. Kant defines a series of propositions for a global society. The one which is relevent to this topic is the sixth, which deals with the subject of leadership in a global society:
| This problem is both the most difficult and the last to be solved by the human race. The difficulty... is this: if he lives among others of his own species, man is an animal who needs a master. For he certainly abuses his freedom in relation to others of his own kind. And even although, as a rational creature, he desires a law to impose limits on the freedom of all, he is still misled by his self-seeking animal inclinations into exempting himself from the law where he can. He thus requires a master to break his self-will and force him to obey a universally valid will under which everyone can be free. But where is he to find such a master? Nowhere else but in the human species. But this master will also be an animal who needs a master. Thus while man may try as he will, it is hard to see how he can obtain for public justice a supreme authority which would itself be just, whether he seeks this authority in a single person or in a group of many persons selected for this purpose. For each one of them will always misuse his freedom if he does not have anyone above him to apply force to him.... Yet the highest authority has to be just in itself and yet also a man. This is therefore the most difficult of all taks, and a perfect solution is impossible. Nothing straight can be constructed from such warped wood as that which man is made of. |

Well, perhaps in 150,000 years from now, when all the fanatics (of every source), the greedy individuals (such as lawyers, doctors, business men), the selfish bastards, and all other evil kind of humans are as far back in history as the caveman is today. Nowadys any world government will fall in the hands of those with money, it would be the takeover of the MONEY POWER using the "lobbyists", just like they do today, in this pseudo democratic systems that we have today in many countries. So FORGET IT!!! it will not work.

one world order is somthing we cant stop. john said it would happen in the book of revelations almost 2000 years ago it is part of bible prophecy. this will happen and the people will be mislead into thinking that they are worshiping god but in reality they are worshiping the antichrist. but the true christians will not have to see this i don't think. but the end is more than likely coming soon so we need to be ready. and the things that is going on should be enough to make unbelivers believe. read revelaions or find someone who has a great understanding of it. everything is happing so fast.

"Beneficial" you ask? Absolutely not. The poor will continue becoming poorer (is that actually possible... how can you be poorer when you are already dying of hunger?) and the rich will be richer and fewer. The average joe-bloe will wind up paying more tax to support it!
I do believe that it is logical that someone(s) could predict one world governement... eventually. Re: "the bible said". Understanding the process of organisation, it stands to reason that it would eventually involve all of humanity - however spread, varied, or numerous it is. Understanding humanity, then you can also predict that we will auto-destruct, one way or another! And everything else within range. Wether this be world war or pollution, it's going to happen.

Yes, there are definitely some people who seek to dominate others. I
think this is what many Biblical prophesies and messages warn us about. Some of these people appear smart, some are self deluded, some are unthinking souless robots. None should be trusted. The biggest fool of all is the one that volunteers to be a slave.
