Hi before you take up any offer here, why not shop around first. Its crazy to pay US$25-$40 for an English tutor - even if it's a native teacher, don't take the first offer, shop around.
You'll find many non-native tutors, such as those from the Philippines make excellent tutors. They're warm, friendly, and patient (that's why call centers have outsourced to the Philippines) and they can provide excellent english tutorial. More importantly you'll get more bang for your buck - expect to pay 60-70% less than what someone from the USA, the UK or Australia will charge you. You might be lucky and even find some native tutors willing to teach around $10-15 per hour. But native tutors, in my opinion are not necessarily the best tutors (you're not born a tutor, you learn to be one).
If you're not sure about who to go with, commit to a few weeks of tutorial, you'll soon find out if the tutor is right for you.
