Hello, teachers!

Is this sentence correct? If so, which is natural, open or opened?
- The open/opened can should be used up in a week.

Thank you very much.
Peace!

Hello Jandi, sorry for the delay in replying. I hope you kept that can in the fridge.

If I were writing instructions, I would say:

'Once the can has been opened, the contents should be used up within one week.'

You say 'an opened can' to describe its state in a neutral way.

You say 'an open can' when you want to draw attention to the fact that it's open.

Thanks, MrP!
I will keep that can in the fridge!
You also promise that you will not eat the leftovers in one week.
I hope you're having a sweet dream.
All the best.
