What is the opposite of 'traffic jam'?  Is there a fixed term for it? Or we have to describe the situation? Thanks.

It is hard to say what is the opposite of a noun. Do you mean that there are almost no cars on the road? Or do you mean that there are many cars on the road, but traffic is moving freely or smoothly?

I meant there are a fair number of cars on the roads moving smoothly. How do native speakers say this? thanks

We say "Traffic was running smoothly on I-95 today." Smile [:)]

Or just, "Traffic was really moving."
