Hi

I know that these two (other, another) are not the same, however, both of them can mean "different" so how about such a sentence "I haven't got other idea"/ I haven't got another idea" Do they mean the same in this case?

thank you

"Other idea" is wrong. You could say I haven't any other ideas (more/different ideas) or I haven't another idea. (one idea more/different)

other by itself would need a plural noun after it.

another idea, the other idea, other ideas, the other ideas
another ticket, the other ticket, other tickets, the other tickets
