Hello,

1. Who is sitting over there?

2. Who is sitting there?

What is use of "over" in first sentence?  Is there any diffrence (meaning) between the two?

Thanks.

Hi,

'over there' emphasises that there is more distance between the speaker and 'there'.

Best wishes, Clive
