In parallelism, should the items in parallel always be in the same voice? Like all items should be passive tense or all should be active tense.

Hi,

In parallelism, should the items in parallel always be in the same voice? Like all items should be passive tense or all should be active tense. Generally speaking, yes, although you can't really generalize about literary and 'artistic' expression. Language is an art form , not mathematics.

Best wishes, Clive
