I wasn't exactly sure in what forum to put this in so i placed it here. Anyways i'm writing this history essay and my teacher says use active sentences rather tahn passive... Can you please help me in identifying these passive sentence in my intro. THANK YOU!

“The Big Three Meet at Tehran” was the headline for several different newspapers in Allied Countries. Starting on November 28 1943 Joseph Stalin, Winston Churchill and Franklin Roosevelt met for four consecutive days in order to discuss future allied war efforts. The Tehran Conference (Codenamed Eureka Summit) was one of the first “Summit” conferences that would take place during World War Two; during the conference several militaristic decisions were made. Firstly, it was decided that after the war lace>East Polandlace> would be given to the lace>Soviet Unionlace>. The fact that it would be favorable if Turkey joined with the Allies was also agreed upon. Even though the Conference discussed the future of Poland, Turkey’s involvement in the war and the Partisans in Yugoslavia, the most significant accomplishment was the agreement for the Invasion of Normandy (Codenamed Operation Overlord, also known as D-Day) in June 6 1944. The American, British and Canadian troops commenced a five pronged assault on lace>laceName>NormandylaceName> laceType>BeachlaceType>lace>. The objective of the operation was to capture a foothold on Germany which was accomplished on the same day. Operation Overlord was extremely important in the war for meeting with Stalin’s demands, boosting public morale and for being the turning point in the war.

The American, British and Canadian troops commenced a five pronged assault on Normandy Beach. The objective of the operation was to capture a foothold against Germany. [which was accomplished on the same day](I think it's a redundant phrase)  Operation Overlord was extremely important in the war to meet with Stalin’s demands, boosting public morale and later proved to be the turning point in the war.

Hi,

In addition, instead of during the conference several militaristic decisions were made, you could say during the conference, the participants made several militaristic decisions.

I hope you understand why your teacher has suggested you use more active sentences. It is to give your writing more strength, more energy and more clarity.

Best wishes, Clive
