Past perfect (with "as if") ?

Could anyone tell me if the below sentence ic correct?

He speaks as if he had done the job himself, but in fact it was us who had done most of it.

It's "if the sentence below is ...", not "if the below sentence is ...".

The past perfect part is fine. Personally, I would have used "... was we who ..." in the second clause, not "was us who".

The past (subjunctive) in clause:
The event in the as if clause is supposed to take place before the event in the main clause.
(EX) She speaks as if she knew everything. Actually she doesn't know everything.
(EX) She spoke as if she knew everything. Actually she didn't know everything.

The past perfect in clause:
The event in the as if clause is supposed to take place concurrently with the event in the main clause.
(EX) She speaks as if she had met him before. Actually she didn't meet him before.
(EX) She spoke as if she had met him before. Actually she hadn't met him before that time.
