Past Simple or Present Perfect Simple

I've done this exercise - are these all right? Put the verbs in brackets in the correct tense:

I.

1.A: HAVE you ever PLAYED an rpg game?

B: Yes, I HAVE

B: I think it was Icewind Dale.

A: When DID you PLAY it?

B: Last year.

A: DID you LIKE it?

B: Yes, but it was quite difficult.

2. Stephen King is a great writer. I HAVE READ all his horrors and they’re the best!

3.A: We have to call Jason.

B: He’s away. His dad TOOK him on holiday two days ago.

4.A: What about the Shephard twins? Are they still bullying you?

B: No, they WERE nice to me since my big brother ASKED them to stop.

5. Robert is ill again. He DID NOT COME to school yesterday. It’s the third time he IS ill this month!

6.A: Er, sir. I am afraid I HAVEN’T DONE my homework again. But there was a horrible storm last night and all the lights WENT out. I just couldn’t do it.

B: Peter, I think I HAVE HEARD this story a few times. Why don’t you make up something more interesting next time?

And ... this one, I don't know how to do that:

Ask questions about the underlined information.

1. I bought this game last week.

2. I've know him for ten years.

They have been nice to me since  . . .

OK, but Better is 'It's the third time he has been ill this month'.
