past tense problem

Are there any mistakes with the sentences below; could somebody tell me how am I gonna apply an appropriate past tense.

1) He went and bought those books.

2) I returned to my company and took my watch

3) I went to took the keys

Hello Gary

#1 is fine. (Some language tutors would insist that it ought to be "he went to buy those books", but they'd be wrong – unless you meant to say "he went to buy those books".)

#2 is a little odd. If you were collecting your watch, you need an adverb of place, e.g. "took my watch out of the drawer".

#3 This one is slightly incorrect; but to find the right version, we need a context. What context are you imagining?
