Hello,

Sometimes I'm a little confused with past tenses.
Could you tell me which of the below are correct?

1. I was watching tv when my sister was talking on the phone.
2. I was watching tv when my sister talked on the phone.
3. I watched tv when my sister talked on the phone.
4. When I watched tv my sister talked on the phone.
5. When I was watching tv my sister was talking on the phone.

thank you

You should use "while" instead of "when" in all five.
Then all five will be correct. The abbreviation for television is capitalized: TV
