Hi all!

I've found a couple of videos at YouTube. I'd like to discuss them and to know your opinion.

What do you think of that?

1. Do you think that television is really such a mad, useless, and harmful thing?

2. Do you think we should strive for One World Government or should we try to evade it?

3. Do you think there are powerful people behind the certain who want to conquer the world and to rule it as they want, ignoring mere citizens' interests? Do you think they do it successfully?

4. Do you think that we should pay attention to the things stated in the videos, or it's just a fake to spread panic?

I look forward to your replies. :)

hello Ruslana,

its really nice to know that you have watched the videos with patience & asked questions. This is the exact aim of those videos. Actually what u have seen is a movie or u can say documentry.it was released in 2007 via google. its completely free movie. it will officially release all over USA in 2008 (as far as i know). i am giving u a link where u can see the whole movie.

i have seen your profile (because coincidentally my flat mate (in my dorm) names Ruslan Konotopchyk. He is from Ukrain.) and it says u r only 14. In a scence you r very lucky that u r getting the truth only at 14. but unfortunately its too early to really grasp the whole truth.

u have asked couple of questions. if u really want to know the answers, then search for it. time will say u everything.

Best Regards
Ahmed

Zeitgeist is a well made movie.

Everyone should see it.
Whether or not it is all true, it should make sheeple think a little more critically than they might otherwise.

Morpheus: The Matrix is everywhere, it is all around us, even now in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window, or you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work, when you go to church, when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.

Well, Lana would be delighted, knowing she is only fourteenSmile.
This movie is one of many books, movies, articles and whatever else about the great conspiracies. I don't blame anyone who decided not to search for these information anymore. I have read lot of books and actually searched for truth two or three years ago. I have also made some discussions and seminars about this topic. Searching for truth is always good but you must be aware of certain dangers. I have read a great article called "Spiral of Conspiracy" which analyzed not the content of these books and articles but its form. The author pointed a very important thing - authors mostly cover a part of the shocking fact and say "We will return to it later in the book." In 70 % of cases they never return to it. They also use a system of "shock and leave" strategy by pointing out the problem and instead of analyzing it, they jump to the next problem. To be frank, it can be really tricky to read these books, or watch these movies. They will make you feel that you must do something at the very moment... but you do not know what.
Realizing these information is like a punch to the face. You feel it and it leaves a bruise on your cheek. But after time, pain and bruise disappear and you will live the same life you used to live.
I have once ivestigated closely some facts presented about the Schengen system and its impact on people's privacy. What seemed to be really tragic in a conspiracy book was nothing more than not-understanding it.
I really admire people who have lots of information, also people writing conspiracies. But what is more important for me, is the ability to analyze the information and make your own attitude. This can never be made through watching or reading.
I feel that One Governemt is not the problem that we should be scared of - in almost every state there are persons who try to gain the political power to themselves (not to the World Government) and we should be aware of THEM at first - in Russia, Ukraine, Slovakia, USA, Germany...
Democracy is about awareness-you have to control your representatives and be active... not by arguing about world order but about your country

What? Ruslana is only fourteen? Is that what you are saying? lol

"Democracy is about awareness-you have to control your representatives and be active" so, what do you think about electronic voting machines? :-)
Lawyee  +  475685 Mon, 11 Feb 08 03:52 PM
Anon. mentioned the age of Ruslana, I was just replying.
What do I think about electronic voting machines? If you mean voting by filling an electronic ticket in a machine, I think it is a normal way how to fasten and simplify elections. If you think that it can cause more frauds in elections, like manipulation with ballots, I have to say that this is also perfectly being done with paper voting tickets. So there is not a reason why I should be afraid of these machines... they are not dangerous. The danger is hidden in people who are managing them.
Is this what you asked, Mike?

P.S.: I have problems with quoting in a new version of EF. That's why my message looks like copy of yoursSmile

Thanks for the link, Anon. In fact, I posted the link to the whole movie before, but the thread didn't become popular (perhaps because it is kind of a long movie, or maybe because it has a scary title - as I was told). So I decided to give just some extracts.

Where in my profile did you find I was 14? I've got to check it!

I completely agree. I've watched it twice: with my parents for the first time, and with my boyfriend for the second one. Big Smile

“They also use a system of "shock and leave" strategy by pointing out the problem and instead of analyzing it, they jump to the next problem.”

Maybe it's a way to let us analyse it ourselves and make our own conclusions? Maybe this way they give us a chance to strain our brain? Big Smile

Well, we're all people and perhaps even those who write such books and make such movies don't clearly know themselves what to do. Or - again - maybe they leave it for us to decide. Or do you want to receive a list of immediate actions, like an order? :)

“Realizing these information is like a punch to the face. You feel it and it leaves a bruise on your cheek. But after time, pain and bruise disappear and you will live the same life you used to live. ”

I'll come up with another analogy: it's like a stone thrown in a pond. For a while you can see water rippling, and then it calms down as if nothing ever happened. But the 'problem' is that the stone will still be in the water. It won't vanish from there. Wink

Yup, I agree.

Wow, lot of quotes here... seem familiar to meHuh?
The problem about the "shock and leave strategy" is that they do not provide you enough information to be analyzed. That's what I lack about them. If they concentrated on one topic and describe it precisely, instead of running from one theme to another to show you the whole world, they will be of much higher value.
When you'll try to browse the websites, you'll realize that all these sites provide the same "examples" of globalization and world power and all of them say that this is only the top of the iceberg. But where the hell is the rest of the iceberg (asked the captain of Titanic)?
I do need a proposal for resolution of this problem - and if the movie is failing to do this, its purpose is crushed. It didn't provide you with information and didn't challenge you to a solution. It's like watching animals in a dog shelter saying  "oh, poor doggie" and then leaving

Lana, do you have any proposals? (cause you've seen the movie twiceWink)
