I am applying for the position of research technician because this position seems ideal for my education, skills, and career interests.

I am a graduate from *** University with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry and a master’s degree in Biochemistry.

In my bachelor programme, I attended basic and advanced-level courses in order to obtain essential theoretical and practical knowledge in the different fields of chemistry and biology.

My master’s programme covered a broad range of disciplines including biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, tumor biology and virology. During this research-intensive programme several lab courses and my 6-months master’s project provided me with hands-on research experience using state-of-the-art methods. I have profound experience with basic cell and molecular biology techniques and the ability to conduct independent research.

I performed my master’s project in the group of Prof. *** at Imperial College London, which gave me the experience of studying abroad and greatly improved my English proficiency. I have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and am very eager to gain practical experience by working abroad.

I am keenly interested in acquiring more theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of neuroscience.

I am highly motivated, organized, and enthusiastic to learn. I am sure that I will carry over the same enthusiasm and skill in doing research at your institution.
