Hi,
It is one of the most popular phrasal verb in English language techno/disco music I presume - I mean "get down" . I know the meaning of "get down to" - to start doing something, but and "get sb down"-make someone unhappy, but what's the meaning when "to" and "sb" is missing?

'Get down-- wooee!'-- Get down and dirty, get into the groove, start really doing your thang, awRIGHT!
Etc.
There may be further professional opinions.

'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master-- that's all.'
