Can u tell me the definition of phrases and clauses? Plz state a sentence and then tell me all the phrases and clauses in it. Also, what's wrong with the following sentence?

The man reached his home with his dog out of breadth after a brisk walk.

Thanx a lot.

Are you trying to say his dog was out of breath, or the man?
