Is the Internet dangerous?
In spite of the development of the Television, Internet is the most important and fastest source of information than ever. One can argue that for many people Television is much more convenient than the Internet itself, however, nowadays it is almost impossible to find the family who does not use Internet as a source of information. Usually we can hear a lot of parents say that their children use the Internet for a good purpose, in any event, their children might meet lots of strangers and even watch porn videos, which might harm their entire world and the way of thinking. Whether the Internet is useful or bad, it depends on the person who is using the Internet. Unfortunately there are a lot of parents who do not care about those internet websites, but they know that how the porn websites are really dangerous. Mostly, when children are going to use the Internet, there is a problem, because there is person who can control them.
There are two main places where the children can easily get access to the Internet, school and home. In fact, most schools have fast Internet access but do not run security software so that the children could not harm themselves and school computers. Recently millions of programmers have been working on some software in order to help teachers and parents to solve this problem. Fortunately most of them are open-source software, and you can download them for free. Thanks to them teachers and parents can feel free and do their own work, while their children are using the Internet. All schools and families should take this problem seriously and try to do their best to solve it.
Trusting children in everything is very difficult, the same with forbidding them. In contemporary society computers are playing the biggest role. They have been used everywhere and we can’t imagine our life without them. Without the Internet our children cannot do their homework and follow their fallows and teachers. Upbringing our children and educating them is one of the main duty of our society and controlling them from danger is also one main part of it.
