Like its name suggests, firms that adpot this policy only pay to its shareholder the residual of the net income which may find its way in reinvesting in the business or financing other business opportunity.

Does "find its way in" sound awkward? Is it used correctly?

Thank you.

Find its way may be OK, but I cannot get the overall sense.  First and foremost, what is 'its name'?

Here are some other interim corrections:

As its name suggests, firms that adopt this policy pay to its shareholder only the residual of the net income, which may find its way into reinvestment in the business or into financing other business opportunities.

ahh begin to see the gap.

The "name" is residual dividend policy, a type of dividend policy.

Thank you.

Then yes, I am content with my revision.

Residual dividend policy

As its name suggests, firms that adopt this policy pay to its shareholders only the residual of the net income, which may find its way into reinvestment in the business or into financing other business opportunities.
