This may be what you intend.

thank you so much...Mister Micawber....

i want to ask you a few question

i can use " stand  for " in which case?  and i just curious  if i dont wanna use " require"

there have any other words  i can use instead   such as....establish or found

and what if  i wanna say different  from this sentence but have the same meaning

what should i say?????

thank you.....for your time to reply my question

'Require' does not mean 'found' or 'establish'-- is that what you meant to say in your original?

'Stand for' means 'tolerate', 'endure'.

Synonyms for 'require' in some situations include 'ask, assert oneself, beg, beseech, bid, call for, call upon, cause, challenge, claim, command, compel, constrain, crave, demand, direct, enjoin, entail, exact, expect, insist upon, instruct, involve, look for, obligate, oblige, order, postulate, push for, request, requisition, solicit, take'

i know require /found/establish are different   but  hummm...how can i explain to you

i just want to know  if i can use another way to say or express that "an english institution means something"
except "require"   for example " if  it's useless why they have to establish" something like that

and i think your suggestion " what does it require..." is the best way to say so

anyway....i really appreciate all the help you gave Big Smile [:D]

ps. sorry about my english

Is your idea that perhaps English langauge schools of any kind are not needed in society?  Then I would probably write something like:

'If they are useless, why do we have English schools at all?'
'If they are of no value, why have so many English schools been established?'

Is that the kind of alternatives you mean, Parasite?

Besides the meaning Mr. M metioned before, "stand for" can also mean' to represent, on behalf of, to contend , advocate or maintain'.
