Could anyone help me to correct the grammer mistakes in the follwing sentences? Thanks so much.

1. One important difficulty in learing Engligh could be the negative influence of the one's mother languae.

2.  It is hard for people to leave the native language aside when they learn a foriegn language which could be totally different from their first languae either in terms of logic or grammer.

The linguistic term for the problem is 'interference'.  I have studied several languages and have become quite proficient in three.  One of the most gratifying experiences I have had is when the foreign language 'interferes' with the mother tongue.
