Subject:    Request for Unpaid Leave

I wish to apply for unpaid leave effective from April 1, 2007 to April 10, 2007 inclusive.

My sister will get married and she wants me to go to the wedding.  Hence I will like you to approve my request.

I will finish my project before I go.  My routine task should be delegated to my assistant, John.  If there is any urgent matter, they can reach me either by long distance call or E-mail.
