First part:

During my years at school I have taken part in programming contests and Olympics in Informatics. Preparation for them and for the State exam gave me the understanding of different parts of computer science.

Second part:

In my future studies I would like to receive more knowledge on such subjects as internet programming, e-commerce and the creation of projects (from both computer and business sides).

Thank you very much for your time.

I don't see anything wrong.  I might say, "Preparation for these endeavors and for the State exam gave me an understanding of different aspects of computer science."

AND  "In my future studies I would like to gain more knowledge about such subjects as . . . "

Somehow "receiving knowledge" strikes me as a one-way proposition.  "Gaining knowledge" suggests that you work a little bit for it.
I'm not sure what bothers me about "on such subjects"
