Please let me know the difference between:

To order larger quantities, please contact supplier.

-and-

To order larger quantitites, please contact the supplier.

I think the first phrase is a general statement, that whenever you need to order larger quantities you should always first contact a specific supplier.

Please let me know.

The first sentence is merely a shortened form of the second, with 'the' omitted. It is a style common in brief business communications, where unimportant words are omitted and abbreviations are rampant.
