Hello, pls explain me the following sentences, especially bold.

1.         The Centers for Disease Control Web site -- cdc.gov -- says the usual treatment is bed rest and a balanced diet

2.         The risk of a lifelong infection is small for those infected after age four.  But about ninety percent of those infected with hepatitis B during their first year develop chronic infections.

3.         Antibodies are special proteins that the defense system produces in reaction to a threat.  Identify the antibody and you identify the threat.

4.         Supplies of blood products should be carefully tested for hepatitis.  People in high-risk groups and those who have had hepatitis should not give blood.  Exceptions may be made for people who had hepatitis A before age eleven.

5.         .  The report said the end of child labor is within reach.  And it called on countries to work to end the worst forms of child labor within ten years.

 1.  The Centers for Disease Control Web site -- cdc.gov -- says the usual treatment is bed rest and a balanced diet

a diet (food) that has the right combination of grains, fish/meat, dairy products (milk, cheese), fruit, vegetables, etc.; not too much fat, not too much sugar, etc.

2.         The risk of a lifelong infection is small for those infected after age four.  But about ninety percent of those infected with hepatitis B during their first year develop chronic infections.

Most people who are four years of age or older, and become ill with hepatitis B, will not be infected (have this illness) all their lives. But about ninety percent of the people who are very young (less than one years old) and get this disease will have lasting infections. (This disease is particularly harmful for people who get it when they are babies.)

3.         Antibodies are special proteins that the defense system produces in reaction to a threat.  Identify the antibody and you identify the threat.

Knowing what the antibody is gives a lot of information about the problem that caused the antibody to be produced. (Different problems can produce different antibodies.)

4.         Supplies of blood products should be carefully tested for hepatitis.  People in high-risk groups and those who have had hepatitis should not give blood.  Exceptions may be made for people who had hepatitis A before age eleven.

Generally, people who have had hepatitis should not give (donate) blood. (If they donated blood, there would be a risk of spreading the infection to the people who received the blood.) But there may be cases where it's is OK for people who had hepatitis A before they were 11 years old to give (donate) blood.

5.         .  The report said the end of child labor is within reach.  And it called on countries to work to end the worst forms of child labor within ten years.

from www.dictionary.com

child labor

NOUN:
The full-time employment of children who are under a minimum legal age.

------------------------

The report said that it will be possible to stop child labor (stop making young children work for low pay, instead of going to school, etc.) And the writers of the report asked governments (countries) to stop the worst kinds of child labor in ten years or less.
