The board of directors has announced that they are giving a party today to celebrate the opening of our new building on the site where the company fist opened its doors.

I am not sure about what this sentence mean.

1. What does on the site mean? Similar to on site?

2. "where the company fist opened its doors"...what does it mean?

Please advise.

on the site where... = at the location where...

2. "where the company fist opened its doors"...what does it mean?

where the company began; where the company started to do business

You're welcome.

(And "fist" should be "first" here.)

where the company FIRST opened its doors
