As part of course requirement, I am to conduct and submit a research project in order to gain experience in how to implement research in Information Technology. The title that I have selected for my research project is in the assigned categories is “E-learning”.

There many reason that I have selected this topic. Since when I was little, I was interested and loved in information technology very much as my life. As technology had been grown in the past decade, we’re now able accomplish almost everything over the Internet. For examples, in the early years, we were starting text chat with people on a software based messenger; we searched digital information on a online search engine rather than go to the library find information. We shopped around the internet E-store paying by our credit card rather than go to the local stores.  We do the online banking with payments and other transactions rather than writing a check or go to the local banks. We apply admission to the university by submitting our application electronically on the internet rather than send it in envelop.  We send emails to our friends and family members local or oversea by just one click instead of sending them a paper letters. We do business on the internet like listing and selling products. There are many others are already greatly replaced by the internet. In fact, many of these new innovations on the internet had been make a lot of fortune to the human beings today.  The internet has been saved people a lot of time and money.  My topic in this research is “Distance-learning and the E-degree” in another word it is called “Online education” in many of schools. As we all have noticed that many of institutions have offering “Online University” with online courses and degree. My research will focus on what is distance learning, how does online university and distance learning really works. How does it started.  Why people taking it. How many of schools are offering it.  Can distance learning be used to teach subjects?  And how does the difference from traditional education. What are the advantage and disadvantage of distance learning? There is also a major question is the creditability of a online degrees versus regular degrees.
