Hi, thanks for your time. I really need help with my speech for speech class.  The assignment was to wright an 8 part paragraph with a divided thesis statement. The topic was yourself. please let me know how to improve this. yes, the closing statement does need help.

Music, fine taste, knowledge. These are just three of the things that make me who I am. That if my name where to go into a history book, theses would be in bold.

Music… One of two languages, the other being math, that is understood by all humans.  To me, Music is the most important things in life.  It has the ability to alter moods, entice and embrace attention and change opinions. Either by listening or playing, everyone contributes to music.

Myself… I play the saxophone. Actively participating in jazz, marching and symphonic band.  Why do I do this? Simple, if I where to write a paper expressing myself and then sent that paper to Japan, it would be virtually worthless. However, if I recorded my beliefs through sound, and then mail that, they could understand my thoughts simply by interpreting my music.

I would hate to be a waiter for someone like me. If I’m paying someone to make me dinner, I expect it to be good.

I am a fine food and drink connoisseur.  If I pay twenty dollars for a 6 ounce piece of meat. That steak better be perfect or, A) back to the kitchen it goes, or B) I’m not paying for it.  If you custom built and ordered a car off of the internet. And then it arrived looking like it had been through hell and back, would you pay for it? I wouldn’t.

Knowledge, understanding, comprehension, all just fancy words for knowing stuff. I go to school for nearly seven and a half hours a day and yet I come home and continue to learn.

Whether it is politics from watching TV, or looking up how to fix something on the internet I am always learning. Nothing flusters me more than to look at something and have no idea what it is, or to not be able to participate in a discussion because of lack of understanding on the topic.  To fight this, I try and read one story from the newspaper or internet a day on something that doesn’t interest me; with hopes that maybe I will have a greater understanding of life.

If Webster’s dictionary defined my as an average human being with common interest. They would be wrong.
