Hi!    I have to translate a manual of MP3 for a friend, but  I need help. I don’t know/understand the meaning of the following terms. Could you please, help me?   - Shutdown setting;- Tune in playing; - To select tune browsing;         - “The delicate appearance makes fine hand feel”;               - “Better charge your unit in put on status!” ;               - “Press Mode again to enter Browse Telbook”;- Telbook editor facility;“... in replay icon flashes”;- “FM receiving effect imperfect”;-                     “In this manual enjoy the overbalance brought about”;-                     “This user’ instruction manual is prepared on the basis of specific version of this product as the stencil, and is matching utmost of the function descriptions”;-                     “This company keeps the right to make any changes upon this product without otherwise prior notice!” (what’s the meaning of ‘otherwise’ in this context, please?); -                     “ Attached pictures are for reference purpose only, where the real product shall take as priority”. (I didn’t understand the meaning/idea of the underlined part); -                     “Sleep mode means: a countdown time (unit: minute) from any status when no key is operated and as long  as the time is up it shuts off the unit automatically”.

Thank you very much for your help!

I'm only explaining the underlined terms. If this is not enough, you're in the wrong business:-)

browse: look at your native language dictionary - to look over casually (as a book), inspect

brought about: which is created; "overbalance" is strange

is matching most (not utmost!) of the function descriptors: corresponds to  most of the function descriptors

otherwise:  look at your native language dictionary - no meaning in this context, read "without prior notice"

the real product should be taken as a priority:  they mean the real product should be taken as a reference and not just the pictures

as long as the time is up: when that countdown time has passed

 Hi Sara

I presume you are trying to translate the English into some other language. Good luck!  My gut feeling is that the English you are trying to translate is poor a translation from some other language.  That's going to make your job more difficult.
