Orbis terrarum typus de inegroin plurimis emendatue austus et icunculis illustratus
Hi,
You mean "Orbis terrarum typus de integroin plurimis emendatus auctus et icunculis illustratus".

Obviously, you are referring to this famous item. http://www.oldworldauctions.com/auction117/detail.asp?owa_id=2145223773

Overall, of course, the meaning is 'A complete world map'. For details, here are my very primitive and probably misguided thoughts on the Latin.

orbis terrarum = the world

integroin = I can't find this word. Misspelled, or perhaps medieval Latin? Perhaps it means 'whole or complete'? The verb 'integro' means 'to renew', so perhaps it means 'renewed'?

plurimus = very much?

emendatus = improved / faultless

auctus = enlarged

et = and

icunculis = I can't find this word. Perhaps it is medieval Latin, or misspelled. For some reason, it makes me think of 'wonderfully'.

illustratus = renowned

A complete map of the world, very much improved, enlarged and wonderfully illustrated ???

Latin translation is not my forte. Other people here may be able to offer you a much better attempt at translation than this.

Best wishes, Clive

I think that would be "de integro in plurimis"; thus "de integro", "as a whole".

"Icunculis" may be the ablative pl. of "icuncula", "a small image"; thus "with small pictures".

Hi,
This is a Christian text with wording that relates to the Nicene Creed. For details of the creed, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicene_Creed

I matched various phrases of your text to parts of the Creed, and have highlighted the results here.
I have also attached the full version of the Creed in Latin, along with its English translation that I found in the Wiki entry. Perhaps you would like to compare the creed to your text.
Some of your text contains words that have been corrupted, ie errors.

Best wishes, Clive

The longest text of the Mass, this is a setting of the Nicene Creed:

Credo in unum Deum, Patrem omnipotentem,

I believe in one God, the Father Almighty

factorem caeli et terrae, visibilium omnium et invisibilium.

Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible:

Et in unum Dominum Jesum Christum,

And in one Lord Jesus Christ,

Filium Dei unigenitum, et ex Patre natum ante omnia saecula.

the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds;

Deum de Deo, Lumen de Lumine, Deum verum de Deo vero,

God of God, Light of Light, very [true] God of very [true] God;

genitum non factum, consubstantialem Patri;

begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father,

per quem omnia facta sunt.

by Whom all things were made;

Qui propter nos homines et propter nostram salutem descendit de caelis.

Who for us men and for our salvation came down from Heaven, and became man.

Et incarnatus est de Spiritu Sancto ex Maria Virgine, et homo factus est.

and was incarnate by the Holy Ghost of the Virgin Mary, and was made man:

Crucifixus etiam pro nobis sub Pontio Pilato, passus et sepultus est,

And was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; he suffered and was buried:

et resurrexit tertia die, secundum Scripturas,

And the third day he rose again according to the Scriptures:

et ascendit in caelum, sedet ad dexteram Patris.

And ascended into Heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of the Father:

Et iterum venturus est cum gloria, iudicare vivos et mortuos,

And he shall come again, with glory, to judge both the living and the dead:

cuius regni non erit finis;

Whose Kingdom will have no end;

Et in Spiritum Sanctum, Dominum et vivificantem,

And I believe in the Holy Ghost the Lord, and Giver of Life,

qui ex Patre Filioque procedit.

Who proceedeth from the Father and the Son

Qui cum Patre et Filio simul adoratur et conglorificatur:

Who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified,

qui locutus est per prophetas.

Who has spoken through the Prophets.

Et unam, sanctam, catholicam et apostolicam Ecclesiam.

And I believe in One Holy, Catholic, and ,

Confiteor unum baptisma in remissionem peccatorum.

I acknowledge one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins.

Et expecto resurrectionem mortuorum,

And I look for the Resurrection of the Dead:

et vitam venturi saeculi. Amen.

And the Life of the world to come. Amen.

Hi,
It would be helpful if you gave us some information on the context in which you found this text.

The first and third paragraphs seem identical. Do you want us to translate them for you twice?

This is dummy text, Anon, which page-setters use to fill empty text boxes temporarily. By using text with no apparent meaning, you avoid distracting the reader and can concentrate on the layout and design.

Some phrases have meaning (thus the "ridiculus mus" derives from Horace, and some passages derive from a text by Cicero). However, other parts are nonsense, e.g. "adipiscing".

Best wishes,
