Hi, after an avalanche tumbled down the rescuers poke an area with probes.  Does it mean  they push through the snow a long thing metal object to find the bodies?

Oh, this is terrible. I've recently read an article about 7 Canadians buried under the snow caused by avalanche. There were some details, that you are not aware of, I just couldn't believe... (:() Sad
