  • 3 languages (25%)
  • 4 languages (12.5%)
  • more than 4 languages (6.3%)

Only one... only? That's enough, I think!
It'll take all my life to learn English, how could I learn another language? I believe it's very difficult to learn more than a language very well, which means knowing a lot of words and idioms, having a very good pronunciation and being able to use that language in most situations (so excellent listening skills are included). If you want to learn a language that way, I believe ONE is enough, maybe you could try to learn TWO but only if you start when you are very young (under 9).
There are probably people who know more than 3 languages perfectly, but you can't say that's a thing many people can do. Smile [:)]

And by the way Pucca, four languages? Surprise [:O] What languages are you learning? My guess: French, German, English and... and what? Not Italian, I think Stick out tongue [:P]
Well Pucca, if you have a little time to learn another language, why don't you start learning Chinese or Japanese? That will keep you busy for a while, I guess... Stick out tongue [:P]

I agree with you Kooyeen, 1 is enough, and if that one is English it's even better! In fact in almost all countries you can find someone speaking English, while if you learn Italian as a second language you could have the chance to speak it just going to Italy (or to the Italian part of Switzerland of course Stick out tongue [:P])..even if there are many Italians living in every part of the world Wink [;)]

Hello! Kooyeen, this is the first time I agree with you I guess! The best way to learn more languages is to start since you are just a child!

I am learning, Basque, English, Chinese and Latin..next year, if my university lets me, I would like to start studying French or GermanSmile [:)]

Why not Italian?Smile [:)] It's similar to Spanish, so, I guess it would be easy to learnStick out tongue [:P]

Hi all,
Two for me.
I "quitted" learning English last year, since studying english for a limited speciality made me sick . I was up to take my time to learn Japanese only, but don't know why, now I turned back learning english again. Stick out tongue [:P]

Learning foreign laguages since you're a child is properly the best way. But anyway, I started learning english when I was 12, it's not early enough but not so hard for me, I think.Big Smile [:D] So no problem to start some more languages now... hehe

I have delight in German, but I have to apply for another university if I want to learn it. It's kinda troublesome... ><

Who will believe in you if you don't believe in yourself?

Oh my, Pucca, are you still thinking of that thread about housewives and house husbands? LOL Stick out tongue [:P]
You even learn Chinese! Cool! Yes, Italian is more similar to Spanish than any other language, so it would be simple for you to learn.
I wish I had started learning some languages very well when I was a child... but I just learned English at school (and some French), and in Italy languages are not taught very well at all (in my case, what little I learned turned out to be wrong). So, even though I saw my first word in English when I was about 9, I started to learn it seriously by myself about a year ago. I desperately need it for my studies...
You must have been luckier than me, Pucca... Smile [:)]
