Hi,
I've tried to keep to your own words.
Clive
1. Studying history's pertinence /relevance to our daily lives can be valuable. History is a mirror through which historians can find valuable explanations for confusing ancient events, even though the results of their study may not be beneficial to current life. For ordinaryl people, studying history enables them to enhance their knowledge, sharpen their critical thinking and enrich their lives.
So, why are they valuable but not beneficial? Your second sentence is at odds with your first sentence. I'd reword your thought, if I were you.
2. Reading the Analects of Confucius helps people to understand why the importance of education is social, why people have to act with more sympathy and care toward others in dire need of assistance, and why children need to show filial piety to their parents.
3.Although there is little value in studying history and it has little to do with our daily lives, it still gives us knowledge, introduces us to something meaningful, and inspires our spirit.
